The Community Outreach Liaison assists with the admission process and is the external marketing agent to all referral sources. Provide community/referral sources with information relative to services and programs offered at Bergen Regional Medical Center. Visit key referral sources weekly and develop relationships with new referral sources. Deliver facesheets/referrals from hospitals/facilities to BRMC LTC. Visit all long term care, assisted living, hospitals, senior centers and other potential referral sources to educate them regarding the services offered by BRMC. Research and recommend other facilities that could provide referrals or benefit from the services offered at BRMC. Assist in the external marketing of all BRMC workshops, symposiums and outreach program to increase the awareness of the community and other providers of the services offered by BRMC. Meet with each division’s vice president to keep apprised of all new developments throughout the facility. Meet with the VP of marketing/pr weekly to review prior week’s activity and progress and plan next week’s goals. Keep detailed weekly log of activity that is submitted to VP of marketing/PR weekly. Keep detailed log of mileage and expenses and submit weekly. Participate in marketing/public relations functions to assist with increasing census including managed care and Medicare. Develop and maintain a good rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility. Become familiar and keep updated on facility occurrences in order to positively promote programs/services offered to community referral sources. Assist in the development of marketing and public relations strategies. Provide appropriate and accurate information (brochures, information packets, etc.) describing the services provided to outside referral sources. <strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong>  BA/BS degree with marketing, sales or healthcare experience required. Must possess a valid NJ Driver’s License and own vehicle Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility. Must be computer proficient. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for marketing the facility.
