KNOWLEDGE AND COMPASSION. First and foremost, we recognize that the most important part of your experience in a hospital is the knowledge and compassion of the staff with our patients. After years of disputes with the prior owners, nurses and health professionals have ratified a three-year contract with the new owners of Hudson Regional Hospital, after only 6 months of negotiations “This contract represents a new day for the nurses and health professionals who will receive long overdue wage increases, financial incentives to help recruit and retain staff and health insurance benefits that will give healthcare workers greater access to providers,” said Ann Twomey, HPAE Local 5147 President.
The policy of Hudson Regional Hospital is to have satisfied and happy staff who will provide the compassionate care that Management demands. And, our staff is constantly educated on the specific needs of our patients and know who to call for specific question.
INSURANCE: Recognizing that hospital stays require in-network insurance for patients, Hudson Regional Hospital is proud to now be in-network and has contracts with all Aetna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Horizon New Jersey Health, Medicare, New Jersey Medicaid, and WellCare of New Jersey insurance plans. And as of November of this year, we will be in-network with United Health Care, Oxford Health Care, Americhoice, Aetna Better Health, Amerigroup and Qualcare. In addition, Hudson Regional Hospital participates with all other health benefit plans on an out-of-network basis but currently has discussions with several of these plans to become an in-network contracted provider.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS. When you do visit HRH, you will now be able to park in a newly-paved parking lot. We have started the construction of the main lobby area and will be moving on to renovating Emergency Room, patient rooms, and the entire facility overall. We want to make sure that our patients and visitors enjoy their stay here.
TECHNOLOGY. HRH has invested in multi-million-dollar cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology for robotic surgery to provide our patients with minimally-invasive surgeries and significantly reduced recovery time – often home the same day. Robotic surgeries for spine surgery, for gynecological procedures, prostate cancer, herniation, bariatric surgery and general surgery and for image-guided diagnosis for blood vessel blockage, treatment of numerous medical conditions, including varicose veins, angioplasty, minimally invasive biopsies, vertebroplasty and more.
PHYSICIANS. We recognize that a facility is bricks & mortar and technology is wonderful. However, without trained and experienced physicians and staff, we have nothing. We are adding new physicians weekly to our roster and now have close to 500 board-certified doctors affiliated with HRH.
WOMEN’S HEALTH. Specialized services using the latest X-Ray and 3D digital imaging technology to test women for breast cancer; Labor & Delivery with a beautiful birthing experience from start to finish – starting with childbirth education & parent prep classes through delivery and family-centered visitation; Orthopedics for our back & joint issues.
