<p><a href="https://urj.org/program-manager-audacious-hospitality"><strong>Program Manager, Audacious Hospitality</strong></a></p> <p>Union for Reform Judaism URJ  is seeking an experienced Program Manager who can simultaneously help our team to develop, coordinate and implement a broad range of programs and projects. Additionally, the Program Manager will assist with the creation of curricula focusing on the tenants of Audacious Hospitality, which include, but are not limited to the support and awareness of diverse populations, such as LGBTQ, Interfaith, and Jews of Color, and widening the circle of welcome and engagement within our congregations. This person will play an instrumental role in supporting the growth of Audacious Hospitality programs and will work across the entire URJ system to deepen, enhance and expand the impact of our work. </p> <p><strong>The Position</strong></p> <p>The Program Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Audacious Hospitality and, in conjunction with their team, will build and strengthen the vision, work and visibility of AH. The Program Manager will focus on program development, research, and community outreach. This role is a vital part of an “all hands-on deck” entrepreneurial team that is regularly innovating and exploring ways to elevate AH in URJ communities and addressing issues such as LGBTQ, racial and ethnic diversity, disability and inclusion, interfaith marriage, etc.</p> <p>The Program Manager position requires an organized, charismatic, experienced, action-oriented and entrepreneurial-minded professional.   Director of PJ Library in New York

<p><a href="https://www.hgf.org/programs/pj-library">PJ Library®</a>, an award-winning international program created by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, strengthens Jewish identities and serves as an outreach and family engagement vehicle, using bedtime story books as its core. PJ Library has partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations in nearly 200 communities in the US and Canada.</p> <p>In the New York metro area, PJ Library is committed to connecting families to Jewish life through the power of PJ Library books, resources, and innovative engagement programs. Thanks to the generosity of several funders, including UJA Federation of New York, Genesis Philanthropy Group, and PJ Library Alliance funding partners, nearly 27,000 subscribers currently receive the gift of PJ Library each month. We plan to expand the program to more than 40,000 subscribers over the next three years. </p> <p><strong><em>Position Overview</em></strong></p> <p><a href="https://www.hgf.org/">The Harold Grinspoon Foundation</a> (HGF), a results-driven, entrepreneurial nonprofit organization headquartered in Agawam, Massachusetts, is seeking a Director to lead PJ Library in New York, which covers New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. The position will be based in Midtown East in New York City. The Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer of the HGF in Agawam.</p> <p>This entrepreneurial role is unique because of the strong starting point the program has in New York, with more than 27,000 subscribers currently engaged and many partner organizations already running programs.</p> <p>The Director will build upon an already successful brand and program, with the goal of significantly growing the number of participating families in the New York region over the next three years, while increasing the number and quality of Jewish family engagement programs available for PJ Library families across the region. To accomplish this, the Director will be expected to work autonomously while collaborating closely with the HGF office in Agawam to utilize available resources and maintain alignment with the organization.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has the ability to expand the program, fundraise to sustain and grow it, manage a staff, manage a budget, and develop and grow engagement opportunities across the region.</p> <p><strong><em>Responsibilities</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Fundraising and Financial Management (estimated 35% of time): <ul> <li>Build a fundraising strategy, raise funds, cultivate and steward donors, manage the budget, and track expenses.</li> <li>collaborate with development staff (both in NY and at the HGF) to lead solicitations to grow a multi-million dollar budget.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strategic Oversight and Management (estimated 25% of time): <ul> <li>Execute a myriad of high-level and operational tasks, including representing PJ Library in New York as a member of the national PJ Library management team.</li> <li>Utilize previous experience in running an organization or large program, growing its size and scope, managing a team (currently 8 staff members), overseeing operational issues, and interacting with a large group of constituents and customers.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Managing Partnerships and Relationships (estimated 20% of time): <ul> <li>Promote the mission of PJ Library and the importance of engaging Jewish families with young children.</li> <li>Serve as the PJ Library in New York key spokesperson to community partners, organizations, and religious institutions and at conferences and other community/fundraising events.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Engagement (estimated 10% of time): <ul> <li>Set and oversee appropriate programming goals and strategies for NY boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester in coordination with the New York Engagement Officer.</li> <li>Ensure alignment between New York engagement strategies and overall program strategy implemented by the national PJ Library staff.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Marketing and Communications (estimated 10% of time): <ul> <li>Continue the development and oversee a marketing/outreach strategy to attract new families to subscribe to the program, especially in underserved neighborhoods and among unaffiliated Jews.
